If there is an apparent conflict between a provision of this Act and a provision of any other law of this State, those provisions must be construed so as to give effect to both of them if possible. (750 ILCS 22/999) Sec. 999. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law, except that Sections 100 through 910, and the provisions amending Section 24 of the Revised Uniform Reciprocal Enforcement of Support Act take effect January 1, 1996, and Section 965 takes effect January 1, 1995.
