Chapter 23. Report to the General Assembly

Management of child abuse and neglect cases; report
Sec. 1. The department shall prepare in an electronic format under
IC 5-14-6 for the general assembly a report regarding the
department's management of child abuse and neglect cases.

Contents of report
Sec. 2. The report under section 1 of this chapter must include a
description of the following:
(1) The work of child welfare caseworkers, supervisors, and
directors.
(2) Investigations based on telephone reports of child abuse or
neglect.
(3) Referrals to necessary services arising out of child abuse
and neglect reports.
(4) The department's family preservation efforts.

Deadline for report
Sec. 3. The department shall submit the report in an electronic
format under IC 5-14-6 to the general assembly not later than
November 1 of each year.
