Chapter 4. Duties of Coroners

Death resulting from traffic accident; duty to notify state police
department
Sec. 1. The coroner or other official performing similar functions
shall immediately notify the state police department upon learning of
the death of an individual in the coroner's jurisdiction as the result of
a traffic accident.

Monthly reports
Sec. 2. In addition to the notification required by section 1 of this
chapter, the coroner or other official performing similar functions
shall report in writing to the state police department, on or before the
tenth day of each month, the following:
(1) The death of an individual within the coroner's jurisdiction
during the preceding month as the result of an accident
involving a motor vehicle.
(2) The circumstances of the accident.
