29A.46 MILITARY COURT OR COMMISSION.
The governor may establish within such military district a
military court or commission to take jurisdiction and cognizance of
all public offenses against the peace and dignity of the state, and
the violation of ordinances and military rules which are now, or may
hereafter be, promulgated or enacted for the preservation of law and
order and the public safety.
The military court or commission may make such orders, judgments,
and decrees in civil cases as may be agreed upon by the litigants or
their attorneys, or as may be necessary because of an emergency or to
prevent waste, with the same force and effect as though made and
entered by a judge of the district court. The said court or
commission shall have full power and authority to issue all necessary
process for the conduct of its proceedings, and like power to compel
the attendance of witnesses therein as are exercised by civil courts
of the state.
