607A.28 BALLOT BOXES -- SEALED AND CUSTODY -- SECURITY OF PROGRAMS. In counties using an ex officio jury commission, the ballots containing the names of the grand and petit jurors shall be deposited in separate boxes which shall be plainly marked to show the class of jurors whose names are contained in each box, and shall have only one aperture through which a hand may be inserted. The boxes shall then be sealed by the auditor, in the presence of the clerk, and deposited with the clerk or jury manager. In counties using a jury manager, the lists containing the names of the grand and petit jurors shall be stored electronically or manually processed by the jury manager and shall be accessible to only the manager or the manager's designee.
