        136C.2  APPLICABILITY.
         This chapter applies to radiation machines and radioactive
      material located in this state.  The provisions of this chapter do
      not supersede or duplicate the authority and programs of any other
      agency of the state or the United States government.  To avoid
      duplication and promote coordination of radiation protection
      activities, the department may enter into agreements pursuant to
      chapter 28E with other state and federal agencies, or with private
      organizations or individuals, to administer this chapter.
