        260C.31  AUXILIARY ENTERPRISES.
         The board of directors may expend profits from auxiliary
      enterprises of community colleges for services and equipment which
      includes but is not limited to tutoring services, scholarships,
      grants, furniture, fixtures and equipment for noninstructional
      student use, and support of intramural and intercollegiate athletics.

         For the purpose of this section:
         1.  "Auxiliary enterprises" means self-supporting services
      provided at the community college for which fees or charges are paid,
      and includes but is not limited to food services, college stores,
      student unions, institutionally operated vending services,
      recreational activities, faculty clubs, laundries, parking
      facilities, and intercollegiate athletics.
         2.  "Profits from auxiliary enterprises" means the difference
      between the total fees or charges collected for auxiliary enterprises
      and the expenditures by the community college for the auxiliary
      enterprises.
