357A.17 INACTIVE DISTRICT DISSOLVED. A petition may be filed with the auditor requesting the supervisors to dissolve an inactive district. The petition shall: 1. State that the district owns no property of any kind exclusive of records, maps, plans, and files, and that all of its debts and obligations have been fully paid. 2. State that the board has not held a meeting for more than one year prior to the date of filing of the petition, that the district is not functioning, and will probably continue to be inoperative. 3. Be signed by three-fourths of the members of the district.
