Chapter 20.--COURTS
Article 32.--COMMISSION ON JUDICIAL PERFORMANCE

      20-3205.   Same; confidentiality of surveys andresults; exceptions; subject to rules.(a) Thesurveys of court users, survey results and judicialperformance evaluation results are confidential and shall not be disclosedexcept as provided in subsection(d)[*] orin accordance with the rules of the commission or the Kansas supremecourt.

      (b)   Any statute or rule that restricts public access to certain types ofcourt records or certain types of information contained in court records shallnot prohibit the commission or agents of the commission from having access tothe names and addresses ofappropriate persons named insuch records and other information necessary for the discharge of thecommission's duties pursuant to article 32of chapter 20 of the Kansas Statutes Annotated, and amendments thereto.No confidential information found in such court records shall be revealed toany other person by the commission or agents of the commission.

      (c)   The evaluation of judges subject to political elections shall be usedsolely for self-improvement. A judge subject to political elections shall notreveal data from any portion of the survey or the results of the survey.
