Article 37.--CRIMES AGAINST PROPERTY

      21-3711.   Making false information.Making false information ismaking, generating, distributing or drawing, or causing tobe made, generated, distributed ordrawn, any written instrument, electronic data or entry in a book ofaccountwith knowledgethat such information falsely states or represents somematerial matter or isnot what it purports to be, and with intent to defraud, obstruct thedetection of a theft or felony offense or induce officialaction.

      Making false information is a severitylevel 8, nonperson felony.
