Article 38.--CRIMES AFFECTING GOVERNMENTAL FUNCTIONS

      21-3816.   Interference with the administration of justice.(a) Interference with the administration of justice iscommunicating inany manner a threat of violence to any judicial officer or anyprosecuting attorney or harassing a judicial officer or aprosecuting attorney by repeated vituperative communication, or picketing,parading or demonstrating in or near a building housing a judicial officer ora prosecuting attorney or near such officer's or prosecutingattorney's residence or place of abode, with intent toinfluence, impedeor obstruct the finding, decision, ruling, order, judgment or decree ofsuch judicial officer or prosecuting attorney on any matter thenpending before the officer or prosecuting attorney.

      (b)   Nothing in this section shall limit or prevent the exerciseby anycourt of this state of its power to punish for contempt.

      (c)   Interference with the administration of justice is a class A nonpersonmisdemeanor.

      (d)   As used in this section, "prosecuting attorney" has the meaningascribed thereto in K.S.A. 22-2202, and amendments thereto.
