Chapter 21.--CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS

Article 38.--CRIMES AFFECTING GOVERNMENTAL FUNCTIONS

      21-3820.   Simulating legal process.(a) Simulating legal process is:

      (1)   Sending or delivering to another any document whichsimulates orpurports to be, or is designed to cause others to believe it tobe, a summons, petition, complaint, or other judicial process, with intentthereby to induce payment of a claim; or

      (2)   printing, distributing or offering for sale any suchdocument,knowing or intending that it shall be so used.

      (b)   Subsection (a) does not apply tothe printing,distribution or sale of blank forms of legal documents intended for actualuse in judicial proceedings.

      (c)   Simulating legal process is a class A nonpersonmisdemeanor.
