Chapter 21.--CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS

Article 42.--CRIMES AGAINST THE PUBLIC SAFETY

      21-4228.   Criminal street gang intimidation.(a) Criminal street gang intimidation is the communication,directly or indirectly withanother, any threat of personal injuryor actual personal injuryto another orany threat of damage or actualdamage to property ofanother with the intentto:

      (1)   Deter such person from assisting a criminal street gang member orassociate towithdraw from such criminal street gang; or

      (2)   punish or retaliate against such person for having withdrawn from acriminal streetgang.

      (b)   Criminal street gang intimidation is a severity level 5, person felony.
