Article 44.--CRIMES AFFECTING BUSINESS

      21-4409.   Knowingly employing an alien illegally within the territoryof the United States.(a) Knowingly employing an alien illegally within the territory of theUnited States is the employment of such alien within the state of Kansasby an employer who knows such person to be illegally within theterritory of the United States. The provisions of this section shall notapply to aliens who have entered the United States illegally and thereafterare permitted to remain within the United States, temporarily or permanently,pursuant to federal law.

      (b)   Knowingly employing an alien illegally within the territory ofthe United States is a class C misdemeanor.
