Chapter 22.--CRIMINAL PROCEDURE
KANSAS CODE OF CRIMINAL PROCEDURE
Article 30.--GRAND JURIES

      22-3004.   Presiding juror and deputy presiding juror.The court shall appoint one of the jurors to be presidingjuror and another tobe deputy presiding juror. The presidingjuror shall have power to administer oaths andaffirmations and shall sign all indictments. The presiding juroror another juror designatedby the presiding juror shall keep a record of the name of eachjuror concurring in thefinding of every indictment and shall file the record with the clerk of thecourt, but the record shall not be made public except on order of thecourt. During the absence of the presiding juror, thedeputy presiding juror shall act as presiding juror.
