Chapter 24.--DRAINAGE AND LEVEES
Article 11.--CONSOLIDATION OF CERTAIN DRAINAGE OR LEVEE DISTRICTS

      24-1110.   Same; separate organization of district under Kansas laws;application of act.Should such consolidation be not requested, or, if requested and notmade, the owners of lands lying within the former Missouri district mayorganize under any applicable laws of this state. In proceedings for aseparate organization the condition of the lands at the time of theoriginal organization of the former Missouri district shall bedeterminative as to the requirements of the statutes of this state as towhat lands can be so organized. In the event a separate district is formed,the governing body thereof and other public officers shall have the sameduties as they would have under the provisions of this act if such landshad been consolidated with an adjacent drainage district; and all otherprovisions of this act shall be applicable to such separate district or thelands lying therein insofar as such other provisions are consistent withthe organization and operation of the separate district.
