Chapter 24.--DRAINAGE AND LEVEES
Article 6.--DRAINAGE IN ONE OR MORE COUNTIES

      24-652.   Same; care and sale of property.Whenever the board of supervisors of any drainage district adopts aresolution to disorganize and dissolve such drainage district in accordancewith the provisions of this act the adoption of such resolution shall notchange or alter the rights of any creditor or claimant of the district, northe rights of the drainage district against any party, nor any cause ofaction against or in favor of such district, but all such shall survive infavor of or against the board of trustees. Upon the adoption of suchdisorganization resolution the title to all property of the drainagedistrict of whatsoever kind or character including the engineer's survey,findings, reports, and all maps and plats of the district, and allblueprints of proposed and suggested improvements and all other informationobtained by the drainage district through any of its agents, engineers orother employees, pertaining to the physical characteristics of the districtshall vest immediately in the said board of trustees for the benefit of theowners of land within the drainage district.

      The board of trustees shall collect and acquire all such property andassets of the district and preserve the same, and shall have authority,without court order, to sell or contract to sell any part or all of suchassets and property upon such conditions and for such consideration as theboard of trustees shall deem advisable. All proceeds from the sale of anysuch property and assets shall be applied by the board of trustees upon thepayment of the indebtedness of the drainage district.
