Chapter 25.--ELECTIONS
Article 20.--SCHOOL DISTRICT ELECTIONS

      25-2006.   Definitions; primary and general elections.(a) "General election" means the election held for school officers onthe first Tuesday in April in any odd-numbered year, and in the case ofspecial elections of any school officers to fill vacancies, the election atwhich any such officer is finally elected.

      (b)   "Primary election" means the election held five weeks precedingthe election on the first Tuesday in April, and any other preliminaryelection at which part of the candidates for special election to any schooloffice are eliminated by the process of the election but at which noofficer is finally elected.
