Chapter 25.--ELECTIONS
Article 21.--CITY ELECTIONS

      25-2120.   Certification of election results; commencement of terms;oath of office.The county election officer who conducts the city election shallpromptly certify to the city governing body the determination of electionresults made by the county board of canvassers. The term of office shallcommence with and include the first regular meeting of the governing bodyfollowing certification of the election.

      Every person elected or appointed to city office, before entering uponthe duties of such office, shall take and subscribe an oath or affirmationas specified in K.S.A. 54-106, and every such oath or affirmation shall befiled with the city clerk.
