25-2601. Application of 1968 act.The provisions of this act shall apply to all national, state, county,township, city and school elections, both primary and general. Provisionsof this act, which from their context are plainly applicable only topartisan election shall not apply to city and school elections, nor toquestion submitted elections, nor to any other election provided by law tobe nonpartisan or which from the law providing therefor are clearlyintended to be nonpartisan. The provisions of this act shall apply toquestion submitted elections held on the same date as any national andstate primary or general election, or on the same date as any city orschool primary or general election. Except as provided above, theprovisions of this act shall apply to all elections of public specialdistricts for which it is provided by law that the county election officer,county clerk or election commissioner is to conduct the elections, to theextent that the same can be made applicable, unless contrary provision isspecifically made by law.
