Chapter 25.--ELECTIONS
Article 4.--CONDUCT OF ELECTIONS

      25-437.   Canvass of votes; form of abstract; special election board tobe appointed.The county election officer of each county within the electoraldistrict shall appoint a special election board pursuant to the requirementsof K.S.A. 25-2801 to be composed of at least three members who shall makethe original canvass of all ballots cast in that county. For the purposesof any canvass under this act, the electoral district within that countyshall constitute one voting area, and ballots shall not be sorted accordingto precinct or ward. The abstract shall be prepared on a form prescribedby the secretary of state.
