25-4148d.Reports of certain contributions to aparty or political committee during specified time period preceding anelection.(a) Every treasurer for aparty committee orpolitical committee shall file reports of contributions asprescribed by this act.Reports shall be filed with the secretary of state. Reports required by thissection shall be inadditions to any other reports required by law.
(b) (1) The report shall contain the name and address of each person whomakes a contribution to the party committee orpoliticalcommittee in an aggregate amount orvalue in excessof $300 or more during the period commencing 11 days before a primary orgeneralelection atwhich a state or local officer is to be elected and ending at 11:59 p.m. on theWednesday preceding the date of the election. Suchreport shall contain the amount and date of each such contribution.The report shall be made on or before the close of business on the Thursdaypreceding the date of the election.
(2) In addition, a separate report shall be made on a daily basis forthe Thursday, Friday,Saturday and Sunday immediately preceding the election. Each daily report shallcontain the information required in paragraph (1) of this section. Each reportshall be filed by 5:00 p.m. on the next day respectively.
(c) Reports required by this section shall be filed by hand delivery, expressdelivery service, facsimile transmission or any electronic method authorized bythe secretary of state.
(d) (1) "Contribution" shall have the meaning ascribed to it in K.S.A.25-4143 andamendments thereto.
(2) "Party committee" shall have the meaning ascribed to it in K.S.A. 25-4143andamendments thereto.
(3) "Political committee" shall have the meaning ascribed to it in K.S.A.25-4143 andamendments thereto.
(e) The provisions of this section shall be part of and supplemental tothe campaignfinanceact.
