Chapter 28.--FEES AND SALARIES
Article 1.--FEES IN ALL COUNTIES AND SALARIES IN CERTAIN COUNTIES

      28-118.   Engineer of two or more counties; pro rata payment of salaryand expenses.That when two or more counties unite and form a county engineer districtand jointly employ a county engineer, in compliance with this act, thesalary and expense of such engineer and his assistants shall be paid by thecounties in the district and the amount each of such counties shall payshall be agreed, in writing, by the boards of county commissioners of theseveral counties in the district. In agreeing as to the pro rata share tobe paid by each county, the several boards of county commissioners shallconsider the engineering services probably required by each of suchcounties and such consideration shall include the following factors withrespect to each of such counties: (a) area, (b) mileage of county roads,(c) number of watercourses, (d) population, (e) assessed tangible taxablevaluation, and (f) the total amount of funds being spent for county roadsand bridges.
