Chapter 28.--FEES AND SALARIES
Article 7.--WYANDOTTE COUNTY

      28-716.   Salaries of officials and employees in certain counties; taxlevy, use of proceeds.In counties having a population of not less than one hundred eighty-fivethousand (185,000) nor more than two hundred fifty thousand (250,000),the boards of county commissioners of said counties, in addition to therate of levy authorized by K.S.A. 79-1946 and 79-1947, are herebyauthorized to levy an additional tax of not to exceed six mills, toprovide for salaries of officials and employees and other expenses asprovided by law and to pay a portion of the principal and interest on bondsissued under the authority of K.S.A. 12-1774, and amendmentsthereto, by cities located in the county. Said levy shall be in additionto all other expenses asprovided by law.
