Chapter 31.--FIRE PROTECTION
Article 1.--FIRE SAFETY AND PREVENTION

      31-135.   Advisory committees to assist fire marshal;membership; no compensation.Whenever it is deemed necessary, the state fire marshal may appoint anadvisory committee or committees to assist in the formulation andrevision of the state fire prevention code and in the establishment of standardsfor certification of members of fire departments to make arrests, carryfirearms and conduct searches and seizures pursuant to K.S.A. 31-157.Any such advisorycommittee shall serve without compensation. The membership of theadvisory committee or committees shall be selected on the basis of theirindividual expertise and knowledge in the area of fire prevention underconsideration.
