Chapter 31.--FIRE PROTECTION
Article 3.--BENEFIT DISTRICTS

      31-304.   Same; disposition of tax moneys;expenditures.The county treasurer of any county in which any part of the benefitdistrict lies, except the county treasurer of the county in which the citylies, shall upon collection of the tax moneys provided for in K.S.A. 31-303transmit the same to the county treasurer of the county in which the cityis located, and said county treasurer shall credit all moneys receivedunder this act to the benefit district. All moneys received by the benefitdistrict may be paid out and expended by the board of directors of saidbenefit district for the purposes of carrying out the provisions of thisact in the same manner as moneys are paid out and expended in common-schooldistricts or in rural high-school districts, as the case may be:Provided, That if the members of the board of a unified schooldistrict who reside in the fire district shall constitute the board ofdirectors of such benefit district such money shall be paid out andexpended in accordance with regulations adopted by the board of directors.
