Chapter 31.--FIRE PROTECTION
Article 6.--FIRE SAFETY STANDARDS FOR CIGARETTES

      31-610.   Same; sales outside United States.(a) Nothing in this act shall be construed to prohibit anyperson orentity frommanufacturing or selling cigarettes that do not meet the requirements ofK.S.A. 2009 Supp.31-603, and amendmentsthereto, if the cigarettes are or will be stamped for sale in another state orare packaged for saleoutside the United States and that person or entity has taken reasonable stepsto ensure that suchcigarettes will not be sold or offered for sale to persons located in thisstate.

      (b)   The provisions of this section shall take effect and be in force from andafter July 1, 2009.
