Chapter 32.--WILDLIFE, PARKS AND RECREATION
Article 12.--KANSAS LOCAL GOVERNMENT OUTDOOR RECREATION GRANTS

      32-1202.   Definitions.As used in the Kansas local government outdoorrecreation grant act:

      (a)   "Local government" means any county, city or townshipor any two or more such local governments acting jointly pursuant tointergovernmental agreements or as otherwise authorized bystatute.

      (b)   "Capital improvement project" means a capital improvementproject to establish, develop, renovate or repair an outdoorrecreational facility, including the acquisition of land, acquisitionand installation of equipment, construction, renovation or repair ofoutdoor recreational facilities, and including renovations and repairsto provide safety improvements and handicapped accessibility and otherimprovements, including improvements to attain compliance with therequirements imposed under the federal Americans with disabilitiesact.

      (c)   "Outdoor recreational facility" means any public park orother outdoor recreational area or facility, including, but notlimited to, parks, open spaces, trails, swimming pools, playgroundsand playing courts and fields.
