Chapter 32.--WILDLIFE, PARKS AND RECREATION
Article 9.--LICENSES, PERMITS, STAMPS AND OTHER ISSUES

      32-995.   Feed the hungry fund; contributions toKansas hunters feeding the hungry; reports to legislature.(a) The feed the hungry fund is hereby established in thestatetreasury. Thesecretary, in accordance with the provisions of K.S.A. 75-4215, and amendmentsthereto, shallremit to the state treasurer all moneys received by the secretary fromcontributions pursuant tosubsection (c) of K.S.A. 32-980, and amendments thereto. Upon receipt of theremittance, thestate treasurer shall deposit the entire amount in the state treasury andcredit it to the fund.

      (b)   Moneys in the feed the hungry fund shall be disbursed quarterly to Kansashunters feeding the hungry, inc., tosupport its programs.

      (c)   On or before the 10th of each month, the director of accounts and reportsshalltransfer from the state general fund to the feed the hungry fund interestearnings based on:

      (1)   The average daily balance of moneys in the feed the hungry fund for theprecedingmonth; and

      (2)   the net earnings rate for the pooled money investment portfolio for theprecedingmonth.

      (d)   All expenditures from the feed the hungry fund shall be made inaccordance withappropriation acts upon warrants of the director of accounts and reports issuedpursuant tovouchers approved by the secretary for the purposes set forth in this section.

      (e)   The secretary shall report annually, beginning on February 1, 2006, tothe house committee on tourism and parks and the senate committee on naturalresources on the state of contributions to the feed the hungry fund and thedisbursements to Kansashunters feeding the hungry, inc.
