Chapter 36.--HOTELS, LODGINGHOUSES AND RESTAURANTS
Article 2.--LIENS OF HOTEL AND LODGINGHOUSE KEEPERS

      36-201.   Liens for charges and advances to guests orboarders;apartment defined.That the keeper of any inn, hotel, boardinghouse, apartment house, orrooming house as defined in chapter 204, of the Laws of 1913, and forthe operation of which it is necessary for the keeper to obtain a licenseunder the laws of the state of Kansas, shall have a lien on the baggage andother property in and about such inn, hotel, boardinghouse, apartmenthouse, or rooming house brought to the same by or under the control of hisguests or boarders, for the proper charges due him from such guests orboarders for the accommodation, board and lodging, and for all money paidfor or advanced to them not to exceed the sum of two hundred dollars, andfor such other extras as are furnished at the request of such guests. Theterm "apartments" as herein used shall include only apartments which arerented furnished.
