Chapter 38.--MINORS
Article 11.--DETERMINATION OF PARENTAGE

      38-1136.   Definitions.As used in K.S.A. 38-1136 through 38-1138, except where the contextotherwiserequires:

      (a)   "Birthing hospital" means a hospital or facility as defined by rules andregulations of the secretary of social and rehabilitation services.

      (b)   "IV-D program" means a program for providing services pursuant to part Dof title IV of the federal social security act (42 U.S.C. Sec. 651 etseq.)and acts amendatory thereof or supplemental thereto.

      (c)   "Unwed mother" means a mother who was not married at the time ofconception, at the time of birth or at any time between conception and birth.
