Chapter 38.--MINORS
Article 5.--DETENTION AND PARENTAL HOMES OR FARMS

      38-504.   Same; support and maintenance; tax levy, use of proceeds; salaryof matron or superintendent.For the support and maintenance of the detention home or juvenile farmand to pay a portion of the principal and interest on bonds issued underthe authority of K.S.A. 12-1774, and amendments thereto, by citieslocated in the county,the county commissioners shall make an estimate of the cost and levy atax, as in the case of providing for other expenses of the county, andall expenses of the said detention home or juvenile farm shall beaccorded as a part of the expenses of the said district court of thesaid county. The salary of the matron or superintendent shall be fixedby the county commissioners, and warrants shall be drawn for the paymentof said salary and all other bills regularly allowed by the saidcommissioners on account of said expenses for the maintenance of saiddetention home or juvenile farm.
