Chapter 39.--MENTALLY ILL, INCAPACITATED AND DEPENDENT PERSONS; SOCIAL WELFARE
Article 7.--SOCIAL WELFARE

      39-709c.   Report to legislature; medical assistanceexpenditures and amounts recovered; recommendations for legislationtherefor.On or before the first day of each regular session of thelegislature, the secretary shall prepare and submit to the president of thesenate and the speaker of the house of representatives a report of the totalamount of moneys expended by the department for medical assistance, the amountof moneys recovered pursuant to subsection (g) of K.S.A. 39-709, and amendmentsthereto, and any recommendations for legislation necessary to insure that thefactors or methods used to determine eligibility for medical assistance moreaccurately represent the resources of an applicant for, or recipient of,medical assistance.
