Chapter 40.--INSURANCE Article 12.--MUTUAL INSURANCE COMPANIES OTHER THAN LIFE

40-1216. Merger or consolidation of certain mutual companies otherthan life.Definitions as used in this act:

(1) The term "merger" means the union of two (2) or more companies intoa single company which is one of the companies so uniting.

(2) The term "consolidation" means the joining of two (2) or morecompanies in any manner so that a single new consolidated company resultstherefrom.
