Chapter 40.--INSURANCE
Article 17.--FIREFIGHTERS RELIEF ACT

      40-1702.   Return of accounts of premiums by insurancecompanies; filingof plats of areas provided fire protection.(a) On or before April 1 of each year, every insurance companydoing business in this state shall return to the commissionerof insurance a just and true account, generated byorat the direction of its president and secretary or other chief officers, underpenalty of K.S.A. 21-3711, and amendments thereto, of all premiumsreceived for fire and lightning insurancecovering risks located within this state during the year ending December 31, orthe fire and lightning portion of any other insurance transactedby the insurance company covering risks within this state. Every insurancecompany shall include in its return an account of all premiums received forfire and lightning insurance covering risks located within this state.

      (b)   Each firefighters relief association shall prepare and file withthe commissioner a plat drawn to scale showing the area provided fireprotection service by the fire department of the firefighters reliefassociation and the location of each fire department house. No such platshall include any part of any area served by another fire department.
