Chapter 40.--INSURANCE
Article 2.--GENERAL PROVISIONS

      40-224.   When disbursements to be made only on voucher or affidavit. No insurance company organized under the laws of this state shall makeany disbursement of one hundred dollars or more unless the same beevidenced by a voucher signed by or on behalf of the person, firm, orcorporation receiving the money and correctly describing the considerationfor the payment. If the expenditure be for both services and disbursements,the voucher shall set forth the services rendered and an itemized statementof the disbursements made. If the expenditure be in connection with anymatter pending before any legislative or public body, or before anydepartment or officer of any state or government, the voucher shallcorrectly describe, in addition, the nature of the matter and of theinterest of such company therein. When such voucher cannot be obtained, theexpenditure shall be evidenced by an affidavit describing the character andobject of the expenditure, and stating the reason for not obtaining suchvoucher.
