Chapter 40.--INSURANCE
Article 22.--UNIFORM POLICY PROVISIONS

      40-2208.   Nonapplication to certain policies.Nothing in this act shall apply to or affect: (1) Any policy or contractof reinsurance; (2) life insurance, endowment or annuity contracts, orcontracts supplemental thereto which contain only such provisionsrelating to accident and sickness insurance as (a) provide additionalbenefits in case of death or dismemberment or loss of sight by accident,or by as (b) operate to safeguard such contracts against lapse; or togive a special surrender value or special benefit or an annuity in theevent that the insured or annuitant shall become totally and permanentlydisabled, as defined by the contract or supplemental contract; (3)fraternal benefit societies; or (4) endorsements or supplementalcoverages, as authorized by K.S.A. 40-1110; (5) except as to K.S.A. 40-2209 and40-2210, or any amendmentsthereto, any blanket or group policies of sickness and accidentinsurance; and (6) except as to K.S.A. 40-2211 and 40-2212, or any amendmentsthereto, anypolicy or workmen's compensation insurance or liability insurance withor without supplementary expense coverage therein.
