Chapter 40.--INSURANCE
Article 22.--UNIFORM POLICY PROVISIONS

      40-2243.   Same; employee and employer contributions; employee's enrollmentin multiple options; enrollment not required, when; payroll deductions.(a) The monthly contribution of each eligible employee for health benefit plancoverage under this act shall be the total cost per month of the benefitcoverage afforded under the plan or plans, for which the employee exercises theoption, including the administrative expenses therefor less the portion thereofcontributed by the employer. An employee may enroll in more than one option ata time so long as such options do not offer overlapping services.

      (b)   The employer contribution shall be the amount necessary to pay thecost of the health benefit plan covering the employer's covered employeesfor which the employer does not require the employee to pay, including theadministrative expenses therefor. An employer is not required to enroll anemployee who is already enrolled in a health benefit plan other than thesmall employer health benefit plan.

      (c)   Payroll deductions for such costs payable by the employee shall bemade by the employer upon receipt of a signed authorization from theemployee indicating an election to participate in the small employer health benefit plan.
