Chapter 40.--INSURANCE
Article 22.--UNIFORM POLICY PROVISIONS

      40-2248.   Mandated health benefits; impact report to be submitted prior tolegislative consideration.Prior to the legislature's consideration of any bill that mandates healthinsurance coverage for specific health services, specific diseases, or forcertain providers of health care services as part of individual, group orblanket health insurance policies, the person or organization which seekssponsorship of such proposal shall submit to the legislative committees towhich the proposal is assigned an impact report that assesses both the socialand financial effects of the proposed mandated coverage. For purposes of thisact, mandated health insurance coverage shall include mandated optionalbenefits. It shall be the duty of the commissioner of insurance to cooperatewith, assist and provide information to any person or organization required tosubmit an impact report under the provisions of this act.
