Chapter 40.--INSURANCE
Article 7.--FRATERNAL BENEFIT SOCIETIES

      40-739.   Operation on lodge system; subordinate lodges required to holdregular meetings; lodges for children.(a) A society is operating on the lodge system if it has asupreme governing body and subordinate lodges into which members areelected, initiated or admitted in accordance with its laws, rules andritual. Subordinate lodges shall be required by the laws of the society tohold regular meetings at least once in each month in furtherance of thepurposes of the society.

      (b)   A society may, at its option, organize and operate lodges forchildren under the minimum age for adult membership. Membership andinitiation in local lodges shall not be required of such children, norshall they have a voice or vote in the management of the society.
