Chapter 40.--INSURANCE
Article 7.--FRATERNAL BENEFIT SOCIETIES

      40-777.   Appointment of commissioner as process agent; time for societyto file pleadings after receiving copy of notice.Every society authorized to do business in this state shallappoint in writing the commissioner of insurance as agent for service ofprocess as provided in K.S.A. 40-218, and amendments thereto. No suchservice shall require a society to file its answer, pleading or defense inless than 30 days from the date of mailing the copy of the service to asociety. Legal process shall not be served upon a society except in themanner herein provided.
