Chapter 45.--PUBLIC RECORDS, DOCUMENTS AND INFORMATION Article 2.--RECORDS OPEN TO PUBLIC

45-227. Brochure concerning public records.(a) An official custodian shall prominently display ordistribute or otherwise make available to the public a brochure in the formprescribed by the local freedom ofinformation officer that contains basic information about the rights of arequestor, the responsibilities of a public agency, and the procedures forinspecting or obtaining a copy of public records under the open records act.The official custodian shall display or distribute or otherwise makeavailable to the public the brochure at one or more places in theadministrative offices of the governmental body where it is available tomembers of the public who request public information in person under this act.

(b) This section shall be a part of and supplemental to the Kansas openrecords act.
