Chapter 46.--LEGISLATURE
Article 1.--GENERAL PROVISIONS

      46-150.   Employment of certain legislative officers and employees;compensation.The senate and the house of representatives, or either thereof, are eachauthorized to employ such officers and employees as may be necessary orappropriate. All such officers and employees shall receive compensationfixed by the legislative coordinating council, and the same shall not besubject to approval under any other act. All such officers and employeesshall be in the unclassified service of the Kansas civil service act. Thedirector of legislative administrative services shall prepare and maintainpayrolls and personnel records for such officers and employees.
