Chapter 46.--LEGISLATURE
Article 12.--LEGISLATIVE COORDINATING COUNCIL

      46-1207a.   Sale and disposition of legislativepublications, documents, information or records; fees, charges and otherproceeds, disposition; deposit of legislative documents with secretary ofstate; legislative stationery and printed material supplies.(a) The legislative coordinating council may provide for sale or otherdisposition of copies of any publication, document or other paper,information or record, regardless of form or characteristics, producedby or under the legislative branch, whether such copies are printed orreproduced in any other manner. Such council may fix charges for sale ofany such copies, and such charges may include costs of mailing,reproduction and other expenses. Whenever such council provides for thesale of copies under this section, the same shall be soldand distributedby or through the director of legislative administrative services or suchother state officer as such council specifies. All amounts received underthis section by or for any such sales shall be remitted tothe state treasurer in accordance with the provisions of K.S.A.75-4215,andamendments thereto. Upon receipt of each such remittance, the statetreasurer shall deposit the entire amount in thestate treasury to thecredit of the legislative special revenue fund. Theprovisions of this section shall notapply to the sale or distribution of the Kansas Statutes Annotated, thesession laws of Kansas or other publications, documents or papers the saleof which is specifically provided for by law.

      (b)   At the conclusion of each legislative session, the officers of eachhouse may deposit for safekeeping with the secretary of state suchlegislative documents and other papers as they may determine.

      (c)   All moneys received by the director of legislative administrativeservices for the disposition of surplus property of any office or agency of thelegislative branch shall be deposited in the state treasury to the credit ofthe legislative special revenue fund.

      (d)   The legislative coordinating council may provide for additionallegislative stationery or other printed material supplies for members of thelegislature to be provided at cost as determined by the council. All moneysreceived by the director of legislative administrative services under thissubsection shall be remitted to the state treasurer inaccordance with the provisions of K.S.A. 75-4215, and amendments thereto. Uponreceipt of each such remittance, the state treasurer shall deposit the entireamount in the state treasury to the credit of thelegislative special revenue fund.

      (e)   Except as otherwise specifically provided by statute on or after theeffective date of this act,all moneys received by the director of legislative administrative services onor afterNovember 18, 1991, under this or any other statute shall beremitted to thestate treasurer in accordance with the provisions of K.S.A. 75-4215, andamendments thereto. Upon receipt of each such remittance, the state treasurershall deposit the entire amount in the state treasury to thecredit of the legislative special revenue fund and any such moneysdeposited in the statetreasury to the credit of the state general fund shall be transferred from thestate general fund to the legislative special revenue fund by the director ofaccounts and reports upon certificationbythe director of legislative administrative servicesof the amount to be transferred.
