46-1214. Annual budget requests; estimate of general legislative expense;appropriations.(a) The legislative coordinating council shall prepare and file itsannual budget request in three parts; one for the office of revisor ofstatutes, one for the legislative research department and one for otherexpenses. The revisor of statutes and the director of legislativeresearch shall separately prepare the annual budget requests applicableto their respective office and department, and transmit the same to thelegislative coordinating council. Such council shall make any changes itdesires in such budget requests and include the same, with any changes,in its annual budget request. Appropriations to the legislativecoordinating council for the office of revisor of statutes and for thelegislative research department shall be made as separate items ofappropriation.
(b) The legislative coordinating council shall prepare an estimateof general legislative expenses for submission in the annual budgetdocument for appropriations for legislative expenses. The estimate madeunder authority of this subsection shall be prepared and handledseparately from budget documents prepared under subsection (a) of this section.
