Chapter 46.--LEGISLATURE
Article 17.--JOINT COMMITTEE ON STATE BUILDING CONSTRUCTION

      46-1702.   Same; powers and duties; annual report.In addition to other powers and duties authorized or prescribed by law orby the legislative coordinating council, the joint committee on state buildingconstruction shall:

      (a)   Study all five-year capital improvement and facilities plans and capitalimprovement budget estimates which are submitted to the joint committeeby state agencies in accordance with K.S.A. 75-3717b and amendments thereto and thereports on such budget estimates submitted to the joint committee by thestate building advisory commission;

      (b)   Make recommendations on all such five-year capital improvement andfacilities plans and capital improvement budget estimates to the ways andmeans committee ofthe senate and the committee on appropriations of the house of representatives;

      (c)   Study the progress and results of all capital improvement projectsfor the construction of buildings or for major repairs or improvements tobuildings for state agencies; and

      (d)   Make an annual report to the legislative coordinating council as providedin K.S.A. 46-1207, and amendments thereto, and such special reports to committeesof the house of representatives and senate as are deemed appropriate bythe joint committee.
