Chapter 47.--LIVESTOCK AND DOMESTIC ANIMALS
Article 10.--PUBLIC LIVESTOCK MARKETS

      47-1013.   Inspectors, contract with; reports; fees.(a) The commissioner shall contract with inspectors andsuch otherpersons as in the commissioner's judgment may be necessary toproperly administer theprovisions of this act. Such persons shall be under the directsupervision of the commissioner. The commissioner shall also contract withstate brand inspectors as inthe commissioner'sjudgment may benecessary to curtail livestock thefts and assist in the enforcement ofthe provisions of this act.

      (b)   The state brand inspectorsshall file a report of such inspector's inspections of brands andmarks ofidentification of each sale inspected at the place of inspection, whichcopy shall be kept for a period of one year from date of filing by theorganization conducting such sale.

      (c)   Fees paid to the state brand inspectors shall bepaid out of the fees tobe collected as provided in K.S.A. 47-1011a, and amendmentsthereto.
