Chapter 47.--LIVESTOCK AND DOMESTIC ANIMALS
Article 6.--PROTECTION OF DOMESTIC ANIMALS

      47-672.   Equipment for control and eradication ofscabies; fees for use; disposition.(a) The livestock commissioner of the Kansas animal health department ishereby authorized to supervise the operation of cattle and other animaldipping equipment which is used in the control and eradication of scabiesin cattle and other animals and which is made available by the federalgovernmentfor use by livestock producers and others under the supervision of thelivestockcommissioner. The livestock commissioner is hereby authorized to fix, chargeand collect a fee from the owner of such cattle and other animals whichare dipped as provided in this section, in an amount of not more than$5 per head, to recover all or part of the costs of operating andmaintainingsuch cattle and other animal dipping equipment.

      (b)   All moneys received by the livestock commissioner for fees underthis section shall be remitted to the state treasurerin accordance with the provisions of K.S.A. 75-4215, and amendmentsthereto.Upon receipt of each such remittance, the state treasurer shall depositthe entire amount in the state treasury to the credit of the animaldisease control fund, which ishereby created. All expendituresfrom the animal disease control fund shall be made in accordance withappropriations acts upon warrants ofthe director of accounts and reports issued pursuant to vouchers approvedby the livestock commissioner or by a person or persons designated by thelivestock commissioner.
