Chapter 48.--MILITIA, DEFENSE AND PUBLIC SAFETY
Article 12.--EMERGENCY INTERIM EXECUTIVE AND JUDICIAL SUCCESSION ACT

      48-1206.   Enabling authority for emergency interim successors for localoffices.With respect to local offices for which the legislative or governingbodies of cities, townships, and counties may enact resolutions orordinances relative to the manner in which vacancies will be filled ortemporary appointments to office made, such legislative or governing bodiesare hereby authorized to enact resolutions or ordinances providing foremergency interim successors to offices of the aforementioned governmentalunits. Such resolutions and ordinances shall not be inconsistent with theprovisions of this act.
