Chapter 50.--UNFAIR TRADE AND CONSUMER PROTECTION
Article 5.--DAIRY PRODUCTS; UNFAIR TRADE PRACTICES

      50-501.   Certain trade practices detrimental to public health andwelfare.The practices being conducted by many dairy processors, wholesalers, anddistributors in Kansas of selling below cost and in the subsidization ofretail dealers through secret discounts, gifts, loans and other means andthe furnishing of equipment, adversely affect the stable economy of Kansas.Such trade conduct causes unfair price discrimination, destructive andpredatory trade practices, tends to reduce the price paid to the dairyfarmer, increases the price paid by the consumer, and misleads the publicas to the true value of dairy products, and is detrimental to the publichealth and welfare.
